Skin Prick Testing With Dr Christopher Smith

Please ensure your GP specifies in the referral that allergy testing is required.
Our reception staff will contact you to arrange an appointment once we have received and triaged the referral, or alternatively place you on our wait list.
What to bring to the appointment
- Bring all medications including creams and ointments to your appointments
- Any specific/unusual foods or plants that you want tested (** if unsure, please speak to reception staff prior to appointment.)
- Photos of skin rashes or swellings, if applicable
- Child health record book
- Any reports or letters
Please send us the Yellow Patient Information Sheet and Green Patient Consent Form BEFORE your appointment.
Important information for appointment:
No Antihistamines To be taken 7 Days Prior To testing
- Zyrtec, Claratyne, Telfast, Phenergan, Polaramine
- Cold preparations (e.g. Demazin and Dimetapp) also contain antihistamines and can interfere with skin testing results.
- Please inform staff prior to appointment if difficult or unable to stop treatment.
