Fees And Rebates
Please be aware that West Gippsland Paediatric Group Warragul is a private billing practice. Payment for services will be required in full on the day of an appointment, with Medicare rebates claimable afterwards.
We have facilities for EFTPOS, credit card and cash payments as well as cheques. We can also provide banking details for direct deposit payment if necessary. We do have facilities for Medicare claims to be made at the time of your consultation.
Be advised Medicare rebates are subject to change in July every year. If you have registered for and have reached the Medicare Safety Net, you will be able to claim a greater rebate on your consultation fee.
Please be aware that private health funds generally do not offer rebates for outpatient medical appointments.
All appointments must be made with a valid referral from a medical practitioner. General Practitioner referrals are valid for a period of 12 months after which time a new referral will be required if you have ongoing appointments.

There is a high referral rate to this clinic resulting in pressure for appointments. Timely notice for cancellation would be appreciated so another person can have the appointment.
Failure to notify us of cancelling at least 24 hours prior to the appointment will incur a $50 non-rebatable fee.
Yellow Patient Information Sheet, Green Patient Consent Form and referral needs to be sent to us BEFORE your appointment.

- Child Health Record book (“green book”)
- Reports or letters, e.g. school, medical, psychology, speech therapy, audiology, Xrays

Payment Options
We have two options of paying the account, either by in full in which you will receive a discount or paying the gap. If you feel you may have difficulty paying the account please discuss this with the paediatrician on the day of the assessment.
- Eftpos - Warragul rooms only.
- Direct Deposit - details are on the bottom of the invoice.
- Cash - please make sure you have the correct amount on the day.
- Credit Card - payable by telephone.
